The Technical Documentation for clients, planners, architects and sales partners has been updated with the following new features:

  • Sky-Frame 2+3 Plain – Lots of new detailed cross-sections
  • Original + Plain sill profiles – Principle and differences explained
  • Introduction – Planning process and improved glass quality
  • Glass values (Ug / Lt / g) updated
  • Numerous minor improvements

Sky-Frame 3 Plain

In the new documentation, special attention has been paid to the complete integration of "Sky-Frame 3 Plain". Previously, only "Sky-Frame 2 Plain" was included in the documentation.

The complete integration of "Sky-Frame 2+3 Plain" has made it possible to provide detailed information on the various sill profile options ("Original", "Original small", "Plain", "Plain small").

The two technologies "Sky-Frame 2+3" also feature the respective new 3D visualisation of the sill profile with "Plain".

In addition, a separate "Properties + Features" page has been created for "Plain" with the most important technical specifications, performance properties and test values.

This allows you to quickly compare "Original" and "Plain".

Introduction

In the "Introduction" chapter the new page "Planning process – from idea to quotation" has been added, to give interested parties an idea of how to interpret the numerous details and combinations shown later on.

At the end of the "Introduction" chapter, the "Quality" page has been updated and a new page entitled "Enhanced glass quality" has been added. This additional page contains various arguments explaining the higher quality of Sky-Frame glass – which exceeds current guidelines – in order to reassure customers about the glass quality.

Sky-Frame stands out thanks to its high-quality, certified glass:

  • Safety
  • Heat soak test
  • Lower tolerances

Glass values updated

As the latest calculations and data sheets show that some of the glass values (Ug / Lt / g) have been slightly modified, all glass tables and structural statics diagrams have been updated with the new values.

The Webshop has also been adjusted so that reliable quotations and approval plans can continue to be created with the correct, verifiable glass values.

Improvements

Numerous other improvements have been incorporated, such as simplified, clearer labelling of the profile range (without item numbers) and more precise wording, for example on the subject of MINERGIE®.

Further testing of the two Labyrinths 30/38 of "Sky-Frame 3 Classic Original" has resulted in a higher water tightness class of 9A (previously 8A).
