The following improvements have been made to the SI-1000 electric drive software:
Improvement in inching mode
Previously, in inching mode, which is activated for the "Touch" control button and in building automation, the following applied: If the sliding elements stopped due to an obstacle, the adjacent impulse first had to be deactivated by a push of a button (sliding elements do not move yet) and only when a button was pushed a second time did the movement start again in the corresponding direction.
The new feature is that when the sliding elements stop due to an obstacle, they start moving again in the corresponding direction after a first push of a button.
Pulse length up to 1'500 ms
Previously, a pulse for opening or closing could be a maximum of 250 ms long.
The pulse has now been increased to 1'500 ms (= 1.5 seconds), which makes it much easier to integrate building automation, as many standard actuators require a pulse length of more than 1 second. However, this does not extend the response time of the drives, as shorter pulses are working directly. This means that the user experience remains the same as before.
Program flow improved
The drive program has been generally revised and improved, making it more stable and reliable.
All newly delivered drives from the effective date 16.03.2026 already have the new software (drive programme version 0.1.26.A).
If drives are replaced, it is essential that they are recommissioned using a laptop and the new software, and not just via the LEARNING button on the button interface. All drives within a system must have the same drive programme, as otherwise unpredictable behaviour may occur and correct functioning can no longer be guaranteed.
A general update of the drives installed to date is not recommended.
The new drive software can be downloaded from the Partner/Documents website or, for programmes that are already installed, via the internal "Update" function.
The installation + parameter setting process is described in the installation instructions "13.4 Electric drive SI-1000, section 10".
