New corner brackets

The corner connections of Sky-Frame 1, 2 and 3 have been revised and significantly improved.

Improvements:

• Steps in the aluminium profile serve as countersinks for the M8 countersunk screws
• Bevelled edges at the ends for better adhesive distribution
• Variety of corner brackets has been reduced from 15 to 6 items
• All brackets now have 3 threads in the raised leg:
  1 hole (centre) for mitre connection, 2 holes (outer) for site joint

Comparison:

left = old corner bracket
right = new corner bracket

left = 1 hole (centre) for mitre connection
right = 2 holes (outer) for site joint

This change has no effect on assembly. Nevertheless, the bonding and screwing of the new corner connections has been updated in the installation instructions and explained in much more detail than before.

The change is taking place continuously.

This means that there may be orders during the transition period in which old and new corner connections are used together.
